Petro Lebedynets' exhibition in Sevastopol
From March, 17 to April, 4 in the Sevastopol art museum of М. Kroshytsky was opened the personal exhibition of the famous Ukrainian abstractionist Petro Lebedynets.
15 picturesque works, brought by an artist from Kyiv, were presented at the exposition.
Petro Lebedynets’ pictures are acknowledged by the connoisseurs of the abstract painting in the whole world. On the account of abstractionist are numerous exhibitions in Russia, Germany, USA, and, certainly, on Motherland, in Ukraine.
As statistics "says", on the account of an artist there are 24 personal exhibitions.
Works of artist are in the museum of history of art in Vienne, in the National art museum of Ukraine, in the art museum of Zaporizhzhya, and also in private collections in Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, USA, France, Belgium, Poland, Holland, Spain and Italy.
It’s a Petro Lebedynets’ third time visitation of Sevastopol. First he visited Sevastopol in summer, took part in a project, which was organized in Sevastopol by the cologne gallery "Seidel". In winter the artist proposed the pair of pictures in Sevastopol art-cafe "House of coffee", where worked an exhibition "Sevastopol-Kyiv-transit". And now again in the Sevastopol art museum of М. Kroshytsky.
- This exhibition is some continuation of the September project. It was grouped. Now it is a personal exposition. And I am very thankful to guidance of the Sevastopol museum for possibility to be proposed. For me it is possibility to see my works newly, - Petro Lebedynets told.
An artist told that those possibilities which are carried by a color" are "very important for him.
An аrt-critic Rachel Johnston from The Times wrote last year: "If you opened a jar with a paint and were charmed by it’s surprising "cleanness" and saturation, then your eyes will be stopped on paintings of Petro Lebedynets - the Ukrainian artist, who are casted over a spell by magic of color".
